My name is Simone Salotti, I received a PhD in Economics in 2009 and I am currently a scientific project officer at the Directorate B – Growth & Innovation in Sevilla, Spain (which is part of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission). After I finished my PhD studies I worked for the following Universities: Università di Firenze (Italy), National University of Ireland Galway (Ireland), and Oxford Brookes University (UK) where I was Senior Lecturer in Economics prior to my arrival at JRC Seville. After four years spent managing and developing the FIDELIO (Fully Interregional Dynamic Econometric Long-run Input-Output) model of the B5 (Circular Economy and Industrial Leadership) unit, in May 2018 I joined the Regional Modelling team (REMO) where I work with the RHOMOLO model for impact assessment at the regional level in the EU.

This is my personal page. Here you can find material related to my research activity (feel free to contact me if you want to discuss it), and also some information on my working and teaching experience.
